Went to the dark side! It occurred to me also that with Yellow jacket converters you could get the wattages between the ones assigned for each amp and get the 18 watt tone in addition.

Might sneak it up to the Open Mic tomorrow night to see how it hangs. It is taken out of the original packaging and quality-checked by our product specialists. Legendary Marshall tube tone in a combo amp with a great look.

The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. A special thank you to the 'new' guys that helping out. The new moderators are Mike Duncan, Stormin, ford, Teleplayer, and PurpleJesus A thread on the announcement is. A bit generic like other new Marshalls. What I'm not hearing as much is any unique voice like one would with a vintage plexi or something. But it sounds good and who knows, I may have bought one if they were released when I was buying. I will have to give a fresh listen again, as I've just been turned off by so many new Marshalls in recent years. Can someone tell me what the proper wattages are for the 20 watt amp. It fills the Plexi type void with welcome features at a great price point. I'm an old school Marshall guy. The reissues are insanely expensive, especially when you consider all the hand wired options are that are better. I'm having trouble deciding on the 20 and 50. It occurred to me also that with Yellow jacket converters you could get the wattages between the ones assigned for each amp and get the 18 watt tone in addition. Additional functionality such as the foot switch gain boost, effects loop, and ability to run the amplifiers without a speaker load, make the Origin range exceptional for the modern player. Available in both marshall origin 20 and 50W power outputs and as either a head or combo, every Origin has been designed to offer the perfect solution for players looking to create great music. While the amplifier is a single channel unit, the design of the tone circuit means it offers two very distinctive voices. Accessing your preferred sound can be easily achieved using the inbuilt tilt control which when turned fully counter clockwise will access a subtler tonal structure. Dialling the tilt control fully clockwise will increase the brightness of sound for a more cutting tone. A presence control also allows fine tuning of your tone in the power stage for even greater tonal detailing. On one side you have the groups who belabor and debate the qualitative tonal differences unsubstantiated in every way between point-to-point and hand wired turret construction hell, there is no evidence that any of the wiring systems is in any way superior to another, component choice is another matter has any effect either way, on and on the other hand, the Katana and now Origin fanboys. The Origin crew have not even heard the amp in person. It may be a fine amp, I hope it is. There's nothing wrong with a bit of enthusiasm and positivity, and the 'fanboy' accusation is silly. If I was so minded I could retort that you are a 'hater', but that would marshall origin 20 even sillier. I am pleased marshall origin 20 Marshall has some new product out and may well buy something if I like it enough; options are always good.

This amp is powerful in its simplicity. By the time Steve got through the 1 song, he was ready for a break, but then he had some podcaster wanting to interview him. In fact, Marshall owns and manages the factory in Vietnam where the Origins are built. Again, biggest difference is lower mids. This amp is something I have wanted for quite a while. Suggest previous reviewer that left low stars try another cab. Went to the dark side! Available in both 20W and 50W power outputs and as either a head or combo, every Origin has been designed to offer the perfect solution for players looking to create great music. The company even produces its own parts there — everything from transformers to ribbon cables, along with finished Marshall amps. Made in Vietnam is fine by me, given this amps build. But, it gets the old Bluesbreaker kinda tone pretty easily.
